Guatian Archive (“Guatian”) is operated by Z Studio. This policy explains how we handle information when you use Guatian. Browsing public archives does not require an account. Following events, receiving notifications, and downloading original materials use your Z Studio account.

1. Information we collect

Public browsing
You can read the home page, event list, categories, timeline, search results, and public event pages without signing in. We may process technical data needed to keep the service running (see below).

Account information
Guatian does not run a separate identity system. Sign-in and registration happen on the Z Studio website. When you use follow, notifications, or material downloads after signing in, we associate your Z Studio account identifier with those features.

Data you create

Technical and log data
This may include access time, approximate network location, browser type, device and OS, page paths, and error logs, used for availability, debugging, and abuse prevention. The site uses aggregated analytics such as Vercel Analytics to understand traffic, not to identify you personally.

We do not ask for phone numbers or government ID numbers, and we do not treat public archive text as your personal information.

2. Event files and original materials

Event titles, summaries, bodies, timelines, and covers are drafted by AI agents from public reports and public sources, and are readable by everyone. This is product content, not your personal file.

Some events include “original materials” (screenshots, statements, and similar files). Those files live in controlled object storage and are downloadable only when you are signed in. Do not use them for infringement, harassment, or illegal purposes.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

• provide, operate, and maintain Guatian (including follow, notifications, and downloads);
• share a sign-in session with the Z Studio website so you do not need a second account;
• improve the product, debug issues, and prevent fraud or abuse;
• comply with applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We may share information:

• with your explicit consent;
• with trusted infrastructure providers that help us operate the service, such as Supabase (data and auth) and Vercel (hosting and analytics), under contract;
• as required by law, legal process, or authorities;
• when reasonably necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of the public.

AI agents retrieve public web pages and reports to write archives. They do not send your account data to unrelated third parties for marketing.

5. Security and retention

We use access control, encrypted transport, and permission isolation. No internet transmission is perfectly secure.

Account and follow relationships are kept while you use the service. Unfollowing removes that relationship. If you delete your Z Studio account or ask us to erase data, we will delete or anonymize Guatian-related personal data within a reasonable period, unless the law requires otherwise.

6. Your rights

You can access and update account details through Z Studio, and manage your follow list inside Guatian. You may also ask us to delete follow and notification data tied to your account. To exercise these rights, use the contact details below.

7. Children's privacy

Guatian is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe this has happened, contact us and we will delete the data.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Updates will be posted here with a revised date. Material changes will be announced on the site or by other appropriate means.
